The masterpiece 6 cylinder 2.6 engine is powerful, not smokey or noisy in anyway, it is superb. The steering, suspension, brakes and drive train are positive, responsive and free from any unwanted knocks, noises, vibrations or annoyances. The automatic gearbox is lovely and smooth with fully functional kick down, and it really shifts! We have inspected the car on the ramp and it is lovely and solid, with no horrible previous repairs etc (any inspection welcome). The bodywork is very good indeed with only minor blemishes in keeping with age and mileage. No unsightly scratches, rust or dents and the paintwork has a lovely deep shine. The leather upholstery is extremely high quality and very comfortable, the roof lining is in lovely condition, as are the carpets, A few signs of wear here and there, but nothing noteworthy. This super 190E has just celebrated its 33rd birthday, and would put many 5 year old cars to shame. It is not a concourse example, its been used, loved and relied upon for over 3 decades and will happily do the same again. This is a fantastic investment opportunity, as the Mercedes 190E is really making big strides in the classic car scene.
